BARRENJOEY LIGHTHOUSE
When I was about 8 years old when Barrenjoey Lighthouse was opened for a special Open Day. The 1st in many years. There were about 300 people there. Everyone climbed to the top of the headland for a chance to go up in the beautiful Light house that is an icon for the area.
We went for a walk up to the Lighthouse on Sunday and to my delight it was open for tours. Which they do on most weekend these days. We have just never quite been there at the right time before. It was so amazing to have this opportunity again especially with the kids. You can see the difference between my kids, in the photos I took of them at the top. I have to say my legs went to jelly, but it was worth it.
These were taken on my Nokia 5800 mobile
I had this idea to do this photo shoot. I wanted to bring a real old world feel to these images. Of course I had to use my usual model. It's a miracle that any of them turned out as she finds it most impossible to stay still for more than a second. Not to mention that her brother was running around in the background like a Bush Turkey. We had gone for a bike ride and at the last minute before leaving home I threw a bunch of clothes in the back of the car along with my camera and hoped that we might find a few minutes to set this up. Next time I'll bring more time with me.
Thank you Beautiful Ebony . . . .
THE CIRCUS WITH OPA
Again I find myself taking photos in the dark, I really must get out more into the sunshine. My camera set up is not the best for this lighting so please forgive me.
These were all taken without a tripod and the kids jumping all over me. Nothing quite like a challenge . . .
LUNA PARK PHOTO SHOOT
These are some of the photos from our evening shoot at Luna Park last week. Interesting place to shoot from as it is on a wooden board walk. As the sun goes down in the west the joggers come out for some evening exercise, this make for a lot of bounce on the board walk.
